Brand new need help PLEASE!!!

Ok so like it states I am brand new well even a step before that Im looking to break into the hobby. Im looking to make a trade for a sand rail frame. I will include the pictures. I have a 1988 t-bird turbo coup and am wondering if this 2.3 engine would work. Also if it will work will I encounter problems or a hard time making it work. Not sure other than the obvious what would be needed to make this work. Will I have a hard time getting the wiring for the computer controlled engine to work or is there a harness that is made after market. Dont have a ton of cash to spend on this project but I am looking for some family fun. So let me have it Any help would be great. Oh and the asking price is $700 the value of the trade is close to that

I have a 4 Seater VW rail project. It has a swing axle rear end and a ball joint front end. It will roll with a towbar and a little air in the tires.
