Axle Gearset
I'm working through some design parameters such as engine, transmission, etc. I've heard a lot about Dana 44s but they are solid axle and I want independent suspension at all four corners, tube A-arms to be specific. The suspension I see on Sandrails and Desert Racers looks about like what I want to build. Short of chopping up perfectly good D44s to get the gearset housing and adding CV-joint half-shafts, what are some other options in the neighborhood of a 3.54 ratio?
