NO MORE DEAD RV BATTERIES

Post by ddjthomas »

This place is awesome :!: They are a little pricey, but for people who do a lot of dry camping they can be priceless :D :D :D

Check out these LED replacement bulbs.

Too bad there isn't such a thing as a wind emitting diode (WED) that would replace the blower in my RV furnace for those battery draining cold nights. Got to keep the wife happy to keep the trip count up. I have to admit I'm a happier camper too when I don't have to wear a ski hat to bed so my bald head doesn't throw off so much heat that the rest of my body gets chilled.

I've been using them for a few months. I have the 36 led panels that connects to a 1156 socket. Within 2 months of use every other weekend, I have two of the bulbs units with burnt out LEDs. One of them has a few LED's that flicker. The light is very white, but not any brighter than a regular bulb. I use my fluorescent lights when I need to actually see things. These came with heat shrink on the plug too close to the lugs on the side. I had to cut some of the heat shrink off to get it to fit into the socket. Overall, I think they are poor quality.

the 1141 bulbs that are stock have a 21 cp rating
was wondering if the LEDs were brighter ?
my wife and daughter like to read books at night
I can go about 5 days before the generator is needed
(that's with me running around and shutting off excess lights)
thanks for the feedback
do the panel LEDs just lay against the lens of the lamp then ?

just an update....

I ordered 4 of the LEDs and will try them out over turkey day (week)
with 2 6 volt batteries newly installed I'm hoping for some extra battery life
