Having an album will give you a place to host images. Once you do this you will be able to link images in to your topic posts.
Note: Mozilla Firefox was used for this tutorial. While the steps here should be similar, the functions of other browsers may differ.
Step 1:
Using your web browser, open the ASA Gallery. Use this link: GALLERY
Step 2:
Click on USER GALLERIES
This is what you will see in your browser:
Step 3:
Using the Dropdown Menu (see red box below), Select NEW NESTED ALBUM
Step 4:
Click on HEY, ADD SOME PHOTOS!
Step 5:
The ADD PHOTOS Dialog Box opens. I use the APPLET option.
Click on ADD PICTURES.
Step 6:
A Directory for YOUR computer will open.
Find the location of the photos to upload and select them. (Use Shift+ or Control+ to select multple photos)
Then click ADD
Step 7:
Next, the filename(s) of the photos you selected will appear in the Dialog Box.
Click UPLOAD.
Step 8:
A new box will open showing the progress of the Upload.
Step 9:
When the Upload is complete, the progress box will go away.
Close the ADD PHOTOS Dialog Box.
Step 10:
Reload/Refresh the Page.
Step 11:
Your Uploaded photo(s) will now be in your album.
Using the Dropdown Menu (see red box below), Select PROPERTIES.
Step 12:
The Album Properties Dialog Box will open.
Replace UNTITLED with the name you want your album to be.
Step 13:
Then SCROLL DOWN and Click APPLY.
Step 14:
The name of your album will be on the Left Side.
This is where you should BOOKMARK (or Add to Favorites) this Page in your browser. It will make it quick and easy to find when you want to add more photos.
Next Click on USER GALLERIES
Step 15:
You will now be back to Page 1 of the USER GALLERIES.
New Albums are always added to the LAST PAGE of the Galleries.
As more Albums are added, yours will move towards the middle. Remember when I said to BOOKMARK your page? Your Bookmark will always take you to you album without searching for it.
Click on the LAST PAGE NUMBER. In the example, that's PAGE 7.
Step 16:
Look for your Album.
There it is! Just Click it to open.
After its open you can add photos, edit comments, etc.
YOU DID IT
I know it sounds like a lot of steps, but you only have to set up the album once.
To add more photos just use the DROPDOWN Menu, select ADD PHOTOS and follow Steps 4 thru 8.
