With almost no rain this season the sand is getting very soft and tricky. It does not take much to find yourself in the situation of beeing stuck.
Be it your trailer, your motorhome, your sandrail, truck. Broken down in the dunes? Yes there is a towing service in Glamis. fully licenced and insured.

Or just walk over to your neighbors camp [i.e. mine] with a tow-strap and a cold beer and ask "Who's the owner of that 4WD truck over there?"

When in the dunes, no one should have to pay for towing!

Yeah, but when the "BEAST" breaks climbing up Olds, its nice to know that there is another option other than leaving it for the vultures or camping out overnight in it...

Love the license plate idea.

I would like to clarify the towing service a little. Yes everyone should help everyone in the dunesâ€¦..for free!

But what if there is no help around or you donâ€™t want to put the stress on someone elseâ€™s equipment?

I have seen it too many times that people try to pull someone out and break there transmission or other parts of there truck or rail or rhino. And than a towing service does come in handy.

How about the 40â€ and bigger motor homes? When even 3 trucks together can not move it an inch. Or how about the sand rails that are stuck and broken down in the big dunes?

Just last week a sand rail got stuck, his friend tried to pull him out and broke his transmission trying. All the way at China wall they camped all night and could not find help. So Mike helped to get the stuck rail out so they could tow the broken one back.

Mike does a lot of free work and help, he was the one who not only carried the burned body back in his truck but he also towed the burned out rail back to the ranger station. In fact he is the one who removes most of the burned vehicles out of the dunes, so nobody runs over them and get hurtâ€¦â€¦.and all that for free. Just like last night when a sand rail flipped, he bandaged the guy up, called 911 and helped until the helicopter arrived. He then towed the damage rail out of the dunes back to camp, for free.

Specially during the week when there is hardly anyone out there this is a good number to keep just in case the next door help should not be around.

i agree. helping out your neighbor with a tow, is always a good thing to do. i have never accepted a dime to pull out a stuck duner, and never will. cold beer

i have taken. even when there were people i just assume let rot in the desert, i still pulled them out.

but like stated, its always good to have an option, when you cant get anyone to help you. im gonna keep the number, just in case.

kudos for getting the stolen, dumped, burnt up, abandoned, rolled rigs out of the sand. that alone gets my thanks...

Agreed. I too think that it is a good number to keep in my back pocket and I thank Mike for all the work that he has done for the duning community.

Here is a question. If the BEAST gets sick and doesnt want to move (which happens more than I like), will Mike tow my toy hauler to a safe location? I'm sure it is not free, but I would like to know what my options are?

Not up to me to say........I'm just the PR person here. But the way I know my boyfriend, I think he would agree with me to say that he just gave away a free tow to you.

I'm just here to get the word out that there is help when truly needed. I will also talk to Mike about giving ASA.....(AAA....LOL).... members a discount.

I was not hoping for a free tow, I would pay for it. Just wondering if he would get my toyhauler out of harms way if I paid for it as well...

I talked to Mike about a ASA/AAA discount.

He will give ASA members a 20% discount and AAA members a 10% discount for every tow over $ 50.00.

If you need to be towed, need a vehicle recovery or your trailer relocated, Mike will do it for you.
