How big is Beverly

How big and how soft are the dunes in Beverly. A couple of friends of mine are planning on going there on the 17 or the 18 of May and I might join them in my truck. I grew up going to Glamis, so I know how to drive in the sand, but I would like to get first hand knowledge first.

BTW, how far is the nearest place with air to fill-up my tires.

I know this is an old post but i will answer anyway for the next person who reads this.
Beverly is SMALL and nowhere near as fun as some of the oregon dunes or Moses Lake. There is a creek that runs along side of it but i wouldnt swim in it, when i was there a few times it was always infested with bugs.
If it was me i would try to go the extra hour to Moses Lake (depending on where your coming from. Or to Sand Lake in Oregon.

I have already been there and had a great time, it was just right for my Blazer.

I am now back in San Diego, so I don't know when the next time will be up there again.
