Recreation Permits Required upon Arrival to the ISDRA

Under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, input from the subgroup will be presented directly to the DAC for its deliberation and consideration. The DSG replaces the ISDRATRT.

Recreation Permits Required upon Arrival to the ISDRA

Post by Jerry Seaver »

The TRT just recieved a report that last year approx. 260 tickets were wrote by the Imperial County Sheriff for non compliance of having a permit upon arrival to the ISDRA. This year so far, there has been approx. 826 tickets wrote for non compliance. That is over three times more tickets than last year and we have a lot of the season to go. The tickets are I believe $100 for the first offense and $200 for the second, $300 for the third and $300 for any after that. I'd say they are being much more agressive on enforcing the recreational permit requirement this year or less people are complying.

Avoid the hassle and get your permit before arriving at the ISDRA. If you don't have one upon arrival, you are taking a chance of getting a ticket and having it cost you much more than the cost of a permit. If you are buying a permit at the ISDRA, I wouldn't waste any time getting it after arriving. They are definately writing more tickets this year.

Thanks for the tip Jerry. Is there a list anywhere online of the locations to buy a permit offsite?
