PHEW!!! I finaly found a set of seats that'll fit in my rail that'll allow me to put them between my frame wells (15 inches) and still sit low nough to give me some head room, without going UNDER the frame, so I won't have to build up under the frame. I DO need to run three pieces of flat rod though. Whats the "standard thickness" for seat mount flat stock?
Thanks all that have helped me with this seat ordeal. With 98days (but who counting) until my first trip and my first rail completly just rolling stock, I'm STARTING to get a bit stressed. I got the rail last season with the idea I'll make the needed "adjustments" over the Summer. Well the Summer is going by QUICK as far as getting the rail ready. I REALLY apreceate your help on this site.

I would say 1/8" thick if you are running three pieces and 1/4" if there are two runners.

I usually use 2 flat steel pieces of 3/16" X 3" X length? for flat bottom seats.Sloppyduner wrote:With 98days (but who counting) until my first trip and my first rail completly just rolling stock, I'm STARTING to get a bit stressed.
