Please Read, I cried, I rejoiced
On valentines day,2014, my daughter was training for Super-G, a high speed skiing event, at Diamond Peak Ski Resort. She hit a compression at speed and crashed braking both her wrists and dislocating both her elbows.
She now has a stainless steel plate with eight screws in her left wrist to keep it all together.
The EMTs and her coaches were all amazed at her matter of fact way of dealing with the event in real time. She cried only when the EMT's had to cut her out of her $ 600.00 speed suit. The one you see in the pics on this thread.
Kendra cried a second time that day after her first surgery when the doctor told her she wouldn't ski for the rest of this year..................
When you spend vast amounts of time in the gym training as an athlete like my daughter does you reach another level in life. Some of you understand what I'm talking about.
Kendra skied five weeks later at Mt. Rose ski resort, the last two days of the 2014 season.
Her surgeon called her one in a thousand with her recovery.
I have a way of judging people.......
Who would you want behind your back in a battle.........
I can proudly say my daughter would fit that mold......... She is a good step above me........ A product of her El Salvadorian mother and this English/German/Norwegian father........
That makes Kendra an American..........through and through.........God bless.........hard work/work ethic....... people who make the United States a better country =D> without a hand out.

Public lands are for public use.
