For a few this should help.
But to simplify, it will raise the cost of energy ( in California, the state I was born in) until wind, solar, geo, pencil out and can stand on their own two feet without the help of government subsidies or mandates. If you vote no on prop 23, AB 32 will stay as the law of the land.
To make it even simpler, your light bill will go up.

Did my eyes just see that?
Sloppy and HSSC are in agreement!
Sorry, just had to do that.
Oh, and yes, I agree with both of you too. Yes on 23!

Pretty close. I would say his synopsis is a bit off but close enough.WoodIsGood wrote: Sloppy and HSSC are in agreement!
Not so much "Stand on their own" than "don't force it on us now." I think the waiting till unemployment is 5% is a good base line, that makes implementation difficult.
AB 32 is flip'n awful. From what I have heard on John and Ken (KFI) it scares the crap out of me. I think Woody was on top of AB 32 I'd like to dig up that thread.
And yes, if only the people who ran away from the state stayed an fought with us were still here things like this would be easier to defeat.

Re: YES on 23!!!!
For me, I drove away from San Diego with a simple dream, to become a great skier. I was 21 years old with out any idea what the future was going to be, only a dream. And yes, if only the people who ran away from the state stayed an fought with us were still here things like this would be easier to defeat
I was tired of fighting for waves in the lineup and add the territorial element to the equation........ The best surfing was a cold foggy dawn in North County, low tide, with a sparse lineup and glassy water. I was poor and had only a wetsuit top. I was lucky to have a full gas tank in my Baha Bug. I skied Big Bear, Mt. Waterman, Holiday Hill and Mt. Baldy and the nine hour drive to Mammoth Mt. was all it took...............
Nevada is my home. I'm living the dream. I worked hard in the early days, bar-tending nights ski all day, cutting firewood in the summers.
I have a summer home in Truckee now. Cool breezes under the pines and fur trees on the weekends, acreage on the Mt. Rose HWY and I pay Nevada taxes. If I had stayed in California I would have payed California taxes and I would not be living the lifestyle I now enjoy.
No regrets and no need to look back.........................
