Dump Station...Ocotillo Wells

Post by DSTMULE »

FYI...Dump station at ranger road was CLOSED  last time i went out. Seems no date on it opening up again either.
I'm not sure if dump station at Desert Ironwoods is open???? that is private, but i dont care to go there at all...for anything...they need an attitude adjustment there.
Dump station in BS at Palm Canyon was also closed...no fresh water either to be had. Ranger said to many chemicals were getting into ground water so they closed them up.
I would hope the one in BS could be hooked up to local sewer line.
I used dump station near true value ( east of Christmas circle )

I stayed at Palm Canyon this last weekend. They were alright with campers hooking up, but no dump station, as you said, and they wanted you to be empty when you came in. I told them I was empty even though I had one trip in there. I don't use the chemical deodorizers they were talking about and a cursory sniff proves it.

They shouldn't overflow if there on a city sewer line unless there was some kinda blockage at the dump station? Hopefully all this can get straightened out by next season or were all in for a ....here it comes....Crappy time 8)

Anyone know if the dump is open this season...? Last season I was told it was closed due to the use of RV toilet chemicals.

Desert Ironwoods would only let you dump IF you only used Dawn deterrent in the holding tanks
