The meeting went well with a lot of information. There was one controversy dealing with whether the Ariz. RV plate is accepted by Calif. as registration for any off road vehicle. Daphne Greene the Deputy Director of the OHMVR Division had called Friday afternoon and informed us that she has been sick and hadn't got any better. In a voice that was just a whisper, she told us that she wasn't going to be able to make the meeting but would be sending her Chief Deputy Phil Jenkins. One of the items that the ASA had asked Daphne to cover was the Non-resident sticker. Phil had done his best to get as well informed as possible before coming in the couple hour notice he had about replacing Daphne but the information on the Calif. policy of accepting the RV plate was in error. I got a E-mail last night from Daphne Green saying that Phil hadn't been with their dept. when the decision was made to accept the RV plate and was doing the best he could with some information in a pamphlet that he had on the subject. The only problem is about a year and half ago it was found that the information in that pamphlet was in error. Bottom line is at this time the Ariz. RV Plate is accepted as OHV registration in Calif. If that changes they will give us a period of time to let everyone know that the policy has changed.
